unpaid Kaamwaali bai to Supermoms

I used to joke with my frnds here that we are Unpaid kaamwali bais in US..jab (sahabji...Hubby) kahenge..khana banaao...to khaana banao..... jab saath main bahar chalna hain to saath main bahar chalo...n ever ything runs at sahabji's approval......!
As I got the job after a long relaxing lazy break of 2.5 yrs..... I wonder how Supermoms always have to do the tight rope walk between her own aspirations and demands from her from everyone. Kids need al the attention, the New year resolution asking for hr to workout in gym, hubby expecting a clean spic and span house and at end of the day your own expectaions of performing all these demands with utter perfection......Its a double whammy as when you are jobless u get so bored of sleeping, lazying, and becoming an unpaid Kaamwaali bai and gossiping..(which girl can be tired of gossiping ...I wonder) and when u take up a job..... very less time is left for managing your relationships...with ur family......
As Hubbys become more accomodating and understanding of their working wives, giving them easier options to dine out, helping in clean up...Men too are putting a an effort to make moms the super moms.... but no one ever appreciates them.... Hats-off to al the Men of those working better halfs who make.
But at end of the day I think having a flexible Business ownership works best for Moms or women...it gives them all things she wants... aspirations, Money, Satisfaction, Career, Time for kids, and opportunity to Order chalaofy on recruits......
I hope one day I will have these things in my own business ...till then enjoing and learning on the Job

Ritvi's 1st Valentine Day

Cut- Yr 2000: Every year during weeks of previous Valentine's Days...as I passed through college I was scared of both getting any proposals and simultaneously getting no proposals....but luckily it has been always a mixed bag every year and hence more light-hearted fun rather than serious plunges.
It was a great fun watching Ms Class of each engineering field arriving at college gate in best of her attires to woo her fan club. Boys wearing their best of outfits out of their Out-of-station suitcases and loaded with Spinz/Axe.
Every one's heart is beating faster at 1st sight of their Crush.
Cut- Yr 2010: As I write this blog I realized I have passed out of College almost 10yrs back that means most of my batchmates are in their 30s now.(No points for guessing my age !)
Life is full of kitchen, Kids, cleaning, (and all other K words...Balaji telefilms)!
Tommorrow Ritvi's Preschool is holding a Valentine's Party.. and I am excited again after all these years.....for it.... not to give or get roses but to make some goodies treats for her friends!
I made cookies and chocolated names of her friends on each of them..... and now waiting impatiently to see reactuon of all kids to see cookie with their names..!
At least this whole-hearted excitement is bringing passion out of my Baking, and excitement into my American Life...! I hope you all find something if not someone to find the real passion, excitement this valentine's Day!...
